They say that a person is infinitely more attractive when they start to smile, and this makes good sense. So it’s time to get a super smile – Now! Nobody enjoys looking at a miserable face, so why do we not smile more often? Sometimes we may be a little embarrassed about the state of our teeth and other times we just cannot be bothered. This article takes a look at some interesting smile facts and also some ways to transform our smiles into something a little bit special.
Why Is Smiling Important?
A recent survey showed that the most popular facial feature that the public would change if they could, would be their teeth. 75 per cent of adults agree that a pleasant smile is very important for your career options. 84 per cent agreed that a killer smile is vital in your search for Miss or Mister Right. This survey was the result of interviewing 1000 adults between the ages of 18 and 50 years of age.
Friends And Smiles

Despite us worrying about our height or weight, people are more likely to remember you for your smile after your first meeting. 71 per cent of the 1000 people mentioned earlier, believe that you have a better chance of making friends if you carry a winning smile. 35 per cent believe that bad teeth will make a bad impression on that first meeting.
Smiles And The Opposite Sex

As mentioned before, 84 per cent of the sample crowd believe that a great smile will increase your chances of meeting a great partner. Over a third would not recommend someone with bad teeth as a blind date for their friend. The same percentage would not consider getting up close and personal for a kiss with someone who had bad teeth.
Smile Improvement
We can improve the quality of our smiles and teeth with just a few subtle upgrades. If you decide to visit your local cosmetic dentist, you may be surprised to learn how quick and effective some of these procedures really are. Just think about the overwhelming results of the statistics above and see if they matter to you or not?
White Fillings
One simple way to get dazzling results fast is to look into having white fillings as an option. They can replace your old amalgam fillings and will give the impression of a much healthier mouth and smile. They will last up to 12 years and add a degree of support and stability to the affected tooth. You have less chance of an allergic reaction in comparison to the amalgam filling and the white fillings are also more abrasion-proof. You can usually get the ball rolling with a single visit to your cosmetic dentist.
Teeth Whitening

Many of us suffer from discoloured teeth due to drinking too much coffee, red wine and spicy foods. This can be reversed by arranging for a teeth whitening process with your cosmetic dentist. Your teeth will be bleached in a very safe procedure and the result will last up to 5 years.

Discover the truth about teeth whitening. Everyone wants to have nice, pearly white teeth. That’s just a cold hard fact about the world. Unfortunately nature disagrees with this desire. Even if you don’t smoke, drink coffee or wine or interact at all with any of the products that stain our teeth, your teeth will get darker with age.
We are designed to be far, far more active than we are. In the wild we would have spent most of our time tracking wild animals across the Savannah and we would have spent the rest of our time carving rocks and stones with tools we made ourselves. In other words we were physical critters and we were constantly on the go.
