More often than not when people have a spiritual awakening develop what can best be called Spiritual Allergies. Whether it is a Christian born again experience or an acceptance that everything is connected or a desire to be a vegan or waiting for the shift of 2012.

These spiritual allergies actually go against the concept of spirituality being all about unconditional love because as the awakening happens it judges one’s experience before as less than and not spiritual. One big spiritual allergy is wanting to be more spiritual and less human.

If you have been or are on any sort of spiritual journey the hidden idea that comes from the unspoken belief of ‘this is better than that’ has created a mindset of “I don’t want to be this way, I want to be that way.” So you are always judging not only your own but, everyone else’s words and behavior. And for yourself you may even judge your thoughts.

Some of you have gone so are as wish you weren’t here and that you were already there. Coming from the idea that the physical is less than the spiritual and that human is less than divine.

The idea it will be better there than here. The challenge to that is there is not here or there.

This concept is hardly ever faced and yet it permeates most of your conscious awareness.

Are you trying hard to experience divinity, all the while the divine is wanting to be fully human?

Are You Allergic To Being Human?

• “I shouldn’t be thinking like that”
• “I shouldn’t think that about him/her/them”.
• “It’s not right to think like that”
• “I shouldn’t do that”
• “I shouldn’t be acting that way.

When you are allergic to being human you “Should” all over yourself.

This concept that you need to improve, you must get better, this is wrong and this is right, this is good and this is bad from a spiritual point of view all come from the Dualistic idea of separation.
