Energy Psychology Benefits Over Regular Therapy

FacebookLinkedInPinterestShare

energy psychologyIn the field of holistic health the cutting edge technology is getting faster and faster results.  There are energy psychology benefits over regular therapy, speed is just one of them. Energy psychology is not the fast tool out right now.  Some of the newest quantum cutting edge technologies get almost instant results and while the energy psychologies may not get the instant results they have been popular for the last 18-25 years and provide what, to many, seems like miraculous results.

Energy psychology is the name of a category processes that work on the energy aspect to resolve problems. There are way to many energy psychologies to mention and some of the more well known are EFT, Basic PEAT (called EFT on Steroids), Emotrance, BSFF, FasterEFT,  etc. There are many more and I may have missed your favorite and yet they all have some things in common that set them apart from regular psychotropic medications therapy and traditional talk therapy.

Susan Heitler, Ph.D wrote over on the Psychology Today Blog

Energy Psychology Benefits Over Regular Therapy

At the same time, in observing Dale Peterson’s work I have been repeatedly impressed by three factors that differ from classical psychotherapies:

1. Location of the triggering event.  Contrary to much psychological theory, the trapped emotions that launch long-lasting negative impacts often have taken place outside of the family of origin.

Brief negative interactions with childhood teachers or peers, and with bosses and work associates in adult life can have far more potent impact than most psychological theory assumes.  At the same time, adult traumas, including war-related trauma, often have earlier roots that compound the triggering incidents in the war situation.

2.  Ability to access subconscious memories unreachable by traditional techniques. Muscle kinesiology plus the Emotion Code of Bradley Nelson (as well as other technqiues like NET) enable laser-like rapidity of access to the specific memory that launched the template for the target symptom.

Often the conscious mind wants nothing to do with painful memories.  To access them, purely talking about memories doesn’t get there.  Muscle testing techniques by  contrast can bypass the screens that limit conscious awareness and zap straight to the subconsciously remembered specific initialing event.

Sometimes these initial events occurred in pre-verbal years, or even as inherited emotions.  Events that occurred in prior generations, in the fetal months, in infancy or in toddler-hood pose no barriers to access with these techniques.

3. Ability to totally remove the negative emotional residue.  Treatment to defuse the emotional memory often takes only a few minutes. After treatment, memory of the event remains minus the negative emotional component.

Then when similar situations come up subsequently in the person’s life, the old emotional template no longer is operative.  For example, a sound that resembles the loud throbbing of the helicopter that crashed and killed a soldier’s buddies will, after treatment, just sound like a helicopter without re-arousing panic, anger or a fight impulse.

What are the downsides of these treatment methods?

Fortunately, unlike the negative side effects I have often seen from psychotropic medications, I have heard of zero downsides to any of the energy therapy interventions beyond that a) clients sometimes feel tired after a session, and b) sometimes the client feels the same symptom or even worse for a day or two until it suddenly clears.

What I have seen time and time again are quite remarkable cures, especially of ptsd, sexual inhibitions, anger issues, anxiety, and depression.

Dr. Heitler, as do many, still look at energy psychology benefits over regular therapy through the lenses of psychology first and then energy second and the success even though remarkable, can be even better when you look through the lenses of energy first and then psychology. From that perspective psychology looks totally different.

Holistic Health: Self Help For Depression

FacebookLinkedInPinterestShare

With all the new cutting edge technology that is out right now in the field of holistic health it shouldn’t surprise anyone there is self help for depression. What most people are not aware of is there are different levels of cutting edge awareness. As an example, something that is just now coming into mainstream acceptance and is being touted as the newest cutting edge technology was the newest cutting edge technology back in the early 1990′s.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) (photo from wikipedia) or what many are simply calling Tapping was developed by Gary Craig in the early 1990′s. It is a fantastic self help tool and it is a perfect to apply as self help for depression.

Here is something from the Huffington Post written by Nick Ortner…

Yoga, meditation, massage, acupuncture, and herbal remedies; these are just some of Eastern medicine’s contributions to our decades-long search for ways to live well with fewer pills and less-invasive health care. Toward that end, I’m excited to report that there are promising new findings in the field of energy psychology, specifically about a practice called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or tapping, that is taking our search for holistic solutions to an exciting new level.

What’s unique about EFT is how it combines Eastern wisdom about acupressure, or “meridian points,” in our bodies, with traditional Western psychotherapy. The practice consists of tapping with your fingertips on specific meridian points while talking through traumatic memories and a wide range of emotions. “Acupoint tapping sends signals directly to the stress centers of the mid-brain, not mediated by the frontal lobes (the thinking part, active in talk therapy),” explains Dr. Church, Ph.D., who has been researching and using EFT since 2002. Because EFT simultaneously accesses stress on physical and emotional levels, he adds, “EFT gives you the best of both worlds, body and mind, like getting a massage during a psychotherapy session.”

The nice thing about these energy psychology modalities is the address both the physical and the non-physical aspects of the person. And the pleasant discovery that the amount of time it used to take to move from an unwanted state of depression or any unwanted feeling can be a matter of minutes verse weeks or months or years.

The article goes on to say…

In fact, it’s EFT’s ability to access the amygdala, an almond-shaped part of your brain that initiates your body’s negative reaction to fear, a process we often refer to as the “fight or flight” response, that makes it so powerful. “By reducing stress,” adds Church, “EFT helps with many problems. There’s a stress component to sports performance, business and financial pressure, and most disease. When you reduce stress in one area of your life, there’s often a beneficial effect in other areas.”

In his study findings, Church asserts that EFT, which he refers to as “acupoint treatments” produces “a neutral emotional state,” which, biologically speaking, is the gold standard of health and wellness. It’s also the state of well-being people have sought to achieve for millennia through meditation, prayer, yoga, and other mindfulness practices.

Dr. Feinstein, a clinical psychologist who uses EFT in his own practice, adds that EFT is an “unusually precise, rapid, and direct for shifting the neurological underpinnings of a range of psychological problems.” In fact, he adds, “the number of therapists using EFT has been rapidly increasing over the past decade, and now peer-reviewed research is showing that their instincts have been right. Surprisingly rapid outcomes with a variety of disorders are being documented.”

As you can see the cutting edge technologies do more than address one or two things such as depression or anxiety. They can be used in multiple situations to improve your life. And the beauty of it all  is, these technologies that are being introduced to the general public as new cutting edge technology are simply new cutting edge to the person who has not heard of it before. At present there is cutting edge technology that gets results faster and deeper than EFT and EFT gets pretty fast results .

Here is a way to enhance EFT. So if you want to learn self-help for depression feel free to contact us.

Holistic Health – Emotional Control Equals Better Health

FacebookLinkedInPinterestShare

emotional controlMany in the alternative medicine arena are not aware of the fact that in the field of holistic health emotional control equals better health. Using the metaphor that everything is energy and emotions are labels we give to energy in motion, then it makes perfect sense that emotional control equals better health as health is determine from a quantum and energy point of view according to the balance and flow of energy.

The understanding is fairly easy feelings are the body sensation of energy moving in our bodies and emotions are the meanings we attach to the body sensations, i.e. the meaning we give to the feelings. It is the meanings we give to those body sensations that move use to action which becomes a behavior.

Even those who do not utilize the everything is energy concept have come to realize that emotional control equals better health.  Keith Wommack wrote in the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal:

One of the important responsibilities of parenting is making sure children are physically cared for. Because of this, parents should be helping their children cultivate greater self-control. So suggests the findings from a 32-year study, which showed that children whose self-control improved were more likely to have better health.

There are many ways to improve self-control, but what the study suggests is that the effort could be rewarded with greater well-being.

Self-control allows children to cope with difficult situations. Rather than responding immediately to impulses, they are able to plan, examine alternative actions, and side step what they may later regret. This mental management has been considered an innate human ability. However, many are finding it to be much more, a spiritual faculty – a talent wisely exercisable when coupled with spiritual awareness.trans.gif

Perhaps the underlying reason self-control can predict health is because evidence points to illness being more of a sensation of mind, than of body. The link between consciousness and physical health is being recognized. Studies show that if one loves more, they will be healthier; if they are forgiving, they can expect to feel physically better; if they just attend religious services, there is a proclivity to live longer. Thought moving, and most importantly, moving away from self or materiality, is causing healthful outcomes.

Stephen Covey, author and authority on leadership, once stated, “You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage — pleasantly, smilingly, non-apologetically — to say ‘no’ to other things. And the way to do that is by having a bigger ‘yes’ burning inside.”

When you break it down self control is emotional control. As impulses are surges of energy in motion and managing and controlling impulses has to do with controlling the e-motion as it moves through the body.

Before we ADD the meaning of good/bad, spiritual/non-spiritual we can agree that it is energy and nothing but energy. When if is balance and flowing we call that good or spiritual and when it is out of balanced or restricted or blocked we call that bad or non-spiritual. We might get better results if we switched from the value judgments of good/bad, right/wrong, spiritual/non-spiritual to balanced and flowing or not.

Then it would be easier to shift the unbalanced and restricted flow back to balance and flow. If you are interested in learning how emotional control equals better health contact us about our Instant Emotional Control Course. Please share this with friends and family.

Insurance Companies Say Enough To Back Pain Surgery

Severe Back Pain Relief Without Surgery

It is finally happening, you probably knew it was going to happen sooner or later. The insurance companies say enough to back pain surgery. The cost of surgery for back pain is rising daily and the percentages of relief is as low as 50% so it is no wonder insurance companies say enough to back pain.

The option, use something with a higher percentage of pain relief and a much lower cost to achieve it.

Patricia Sarath wrote and article over at Bizmology and in it she said…

Health insurers have had it up to here with back pain. It’s prevalent, expensive, and surgery doesn’t do a good job of fixing it.So some insurance providers are saying, “Enough!” and making patients try less-invasive treatments before undergoing surgery.

John Fox, M.D., Priority [Health]’s associate vice president of medical affairs, said patients who have non-emergency back pain have been required since November 2007 to consult with a physiatrist — a rehabilitation physician — about treatment options before surgery.

Fox said studies show that 90 percent of patients with acute back pain improve within six months with conservative care — aspirin, ibuprofen, education, light exercise and physical therapy when warranted.

An estimated 1.2 million spinal surgeries are performed each year in the U.S., according to the National Center for Health Statistics. More than 300,000 are spinal fusions that average $60,000 per procedure.

Some studies have shown that back surgery failure rate, known as failed back syndrome, is as high as 50 percent.

That’s a dismal failure rate. So while insurance companies are in it to save money, in this case, they have their balance sheet and their patients’ best interests at heart. While this news is bad for back surgeons, it’s great for alternative therapy providers, physical therapists, acupuncturists, and chiropractors. Especially chiropractors, since chiropractic care is already seen as tailor-made for the relief of back and neck pain.

To read more: http://bizmology.hoovers.com/2012/03/07/insurers-say-no-to-back-pain-but-yes-to-chiropractors/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=insurers-say-no-to-back-pain-but-yes-to-chiropractors

It is a good thing insurance companies say enough to back pain surgery in most cases as the success rate of back surgery is not that good and it is cost prohibited to the average person. Even after an insurance company pay the usual and customary 80% on a $60,000 back surgery, the consumer is left owning $12,000 and often still suffers excruciating back pain.

That doesn’t have to be the case. There are many complimentary and alternative processes from chiropractic care to energy medicine and energy psychology that get a much higher level of pain relief and even pain elimination for acute and chronic back pain.

Lighten Up – Holistic Health

Lighten Up

One of the challenges of every day life is the challenge  of taking things to seriously and it makes sense to lighten up. Now for those of us who are aware we are on a spiritual adventure we often carry the same challenge with us into our spiritual adventure. It may be because we are using terms that push the seriousness button in our lives. Terms such as path and journey are often thrown about as a foundation of being spiritual.

How often have you heard or even thought, “I’m on a spiritual journey or You need to find your spiritual path”. Both of those sound serious and like they require something from you. And yet neither of them portray a sense of ‘lighten up’. Here is a clip from You Tube

Lighten Up

Here let’s do an experiment say each of these statements and notice the difference in the feeling. Which one feels better?

Statement 1) I’m on a spiritual journey. Notice how it feels.

Statement 2) I’m on a spiritual adventure. Notice how it feels.

Which feels lighter? That’s the way you lighten up, you ask yourself better questions.

As my Grampa Vetter once said, “People should forget to act seriously and seriously act.” So lighten up and have a great day, seriously :-) .

Peer Pressure Or Following The Herd

FacebookLinkedInPinterestShare

There have been multiple psychological studies done on the effects of peer pressure or following the head mentality. I recently found some psychological experiments over at stumbleupon  and I thought I mention one of them and then make some comments about what it takes to over come the pressure of peers.

Psychologists know you have to be careful when you go poking around the human mind because you’re never sure what you’ll find there. A number of psychological experiments over the years have yielded terrifying conclusions about the subjects.

Oh, we’re not talking about the occasional psychopath who turns up. No, we’re talking about you. The experiments speak for themselves:

The Setup:

Solomon Asch wanted to run a series of studies that would document the power of conformity, for the purpose of depressing everyone who would ever read the results.

Subjects were told that they would be taking part in a vision test, along with a handful of people. The participants were then shown pictures, and individually asked to answer very simple and obvious questions. The catch was that everybody else in the room other than the subject was in on it, and they were were told to give obviously wrong answers. So would the subject go against the crowd, even when the crowd was clearly and retardedly wrong?

The Result:

All they had to do was say which line on the right matched the one on the left. As you can see, Asch wasn’t exactly asking these people to design the next space station. Really, the only way you could get the line questions honestly wrong is if you took two doses of LSD that morning and rubbed them directly on your eyeballs (which would have made for an even more awesome experiment, but we’re getting off the point).

Yet, sadly, 32 percent of subjects would answer incorrectly if they saw that three others in the classroom gave the same wrong answer. Even when the line was plainly off by a few inches, it didn’t matter. One in three would follow the group right off the proverbial cliff.

What This Says About You:
Imagine how much that 32 percent figure inflates when the answers are less black and white. We all tend to laugh with the group even when we didn’t get the joke, or doubt our opinion we realize ours is unpopular among our group. So much for those lectures you got in elementary school about peer pressure and “being brave enough to be yourself.”

“Well, it’s a good thing I’m a rebellious non-conformist,” many of you are saying. Of course, for virtually all of you, the next step is to find out what the other non-conformists are doing …

Read more: 5 Psychological Experiments That Prove Humanity is Doomed | Cracked.com http://www.cracked.com/article_16239_5-psychological-experiments-that-prove-humanity-doomed.html#ixzz1n7sFGZ44

All the experiments in the article showed two basic things that have a large impact on how we react, peer pressure and time pressure.

What amazes me from looking at this from a holistic perspective is if these studies where to hold true with the modern medical system we wouldn’t be where we are now. So there has to be something else going on that has created more pressure than what peers do and time pressure.

What with the pressure of the modern medical system, i.e. pharmaceutical influence over schools, training and testing with government threat against doing anything different it should be business as usually based on the conclusions from the above psychological experiments.

The time pressure is still there but it seems the internal emotional pressure of inherently knowing that things should work better is over powering the peer pressure as more and more people are getting feed up, tired and are ready to do something about their health and well being.

The public desire for alternative and or complementary medicine is just getting bigger and bigger in spite of the financial and governmental Juggernaut attempting to stop or control it. Even the misleading “do no harm” slogan used by the medical system is becoming known as a joke.

So holistic health professionals take heart as it seems in the not to distant future the peer pressure and time pressure will be working for you as it has been working against you in the past.

Self Healing Uses How Much Energy?

FacebookLinkedInPinterestShare

Have you ever asked the question self healing uses how much energy? I bet you never did and yet self healing really is energy healing at its best. Everything is made of energy and self healing is the moving of energy in a good way so as to restore balance and flow to your system.

When you have balance and flow you body operates the way it was meant to operate and you have health and  that is the outcome of self healing.

So  self healing is about aligning energy more than it is about using energy.

BlogyMate.com has this to say about it…

Self Healing begins with the mind, which can crank out energy to deliver the results of healing. Self Healing is vigor healing.According to this laws of physics, there is electricity in everything, and everything sends invisible energy, including the sun, the moon, and the body system. As a subject of fact, everything is some kind of energy, which is both positive or detrimental. For example, your thinking, too, involves energy, without which the mind cannot function. If you “think” it is possible to heal yourself, your mind delivers out positive energy for your body for self-healing.

According to Asian medicine, your body consists of energy, and, therefore, your body will probably respond positively and also negatively to different energies within plus around you inside living world. In other thoughts, everything within people and around a person is all inter-connected by energy.

Energy healing began in China a lot more than 5, 000 years back. At that moment, some soldiers exactly who received minor wounds inflicted on the bodies soon discovered that their physical discomfort and ailments acquired miraculously disappeared, and that concluded in the discovery of energy healing. The ancient Chinese physicians began to believe that there is an energy system in our bodies, within which there was energy communication among different cells along with organs. For centuries, the Chinese have got believed that “qi” (the internal life energy) is accountable to transmitting energy information around the body. Accordingly, the smooth pass or stagnation of “qi” is in charge of health or health problems.

Your life is often a journey through you make many choices – good quality ones and likewise some ones — that build your well being or the illnesses that happen to be part of your experiences in such a lifetime. Life has a goal with a unique destiny for every single individual. Therefore, it is important that you know yourself, and Self Healing is definitely “knowing the self” as an element of your destiny. Sometimes and somewhere along the journey of life, you may hit very low and begin in order to despair. You may even ask the frequently-asked concern: “Why me? ” But that may be a time of self-awakening for you personally. You may will question how its possible you have found yourself as difficult and despondent situation. True self-awakening can certainly make you take an alternative path — some sort of detour from that journey you may have been prodding coupled. Taking a several path creates the force for healing.

To read more:  http://www.blogymate.com/post.aspx?blogid=696714&t=Self-Healing-Is-actually-Energy-Healing

So with the question self healing uses how much energy we realize it uses less than you might think because self healing aligns the energy of the body which allows for balance and flow which causes the energy to be used in an efficient way.

Treat Your Eating Disorder With Holistic Health

FacebookLinkedInPinterestShare

If you have an eating disorder you may have never thought to treat your eating disorder with holistic health although holistic health takes into account more of the areas that contribute to your eating disorder.

Here is part of an article from PsychCentral by Carolyn Corker Ross MD…

Integrative medicine can be defined as “a healing-oriented discipline that takes into account the whole person — body, mind and spirit — including all aspects of lifestyle. It emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and makes use of both conventional and alternative therapies.”

Complementary and alternative therapies used in integrative medicine can include acupuncture, chiropractic, herbal medicine, dietary supplements and others that give the clinician a wide array of treatments for difficult conditions. This is particularly true in the integrative medicine approach to eating disorders.

Eating disorders have been documented in adolescents and adults for many years. More recently, there is evidence that these disorders can also affect young children.

The cornerstones of an integrative medicine model for eating disorders includes some components that are found in every approach to the treatment of eating disorders, but may be used in a unique manner. Others are more specific to the use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies. The most important difference in this model when compared to other treatment strategies is the philosophical underpinning of integrative medicine — that is, the belief in the self-healing nature of body, mind and spirit.

Holistic approaches including the Quantum Medicine approach has always focused on shifting and changing the root cause vs allopathic medicines focus on biological and chemical intervention. The article goes on to say…

The cornerstones of this integrative medicine approach can include:

  • Medical treatment that focuses on reducing the risk of, detecting and treating complications of the disease and on improving overall health status.
  • Nutritional therapies to improve nutritional status, help women improve their relationship with food, and improve digestion and absorption of needed nutrients.
  • The use of botanical therapies to reduce side effects of pharmacological therapies.
  • Body movement to help patients get back in touch with physical cues and learn healthy behaviors.
  • Psychological testing to identify co-occurring diagnoses, including mood and personality disorders, and inform treatment strategies.
  • Skills training, which may include the use of cognitive behavioral therapy or dialectical behavior therapy, to enable patients to cope more effectively with stressors in their lives and with situations and emotions that may trigger relapse.
  • Complementary and alternative therapies, which may include massage, mind-body, chiropractic, acupuncture and energy medicine therapies.
  • Prescription medications, which are used cautiously in children and adolescents and should be prescribed only to manage behavior that is life-threatening or therapy interrupting.
